Dr. Doganay graduated from Selcuk University in 1993 with a degree in medicine and has over 10 years of experience in the hair restoration field. In 2005, he began specializing in the FUE technique.

Dr. Hakan Doganay specializes in FUE, BHT (body hair transplantation using hair from various parts of the body such as the beard and chest to restore hair to balding areas of the scalp) and eyebrow reconstruction.

Because not everyone is a suitable candidate for FUE hair restoration, Dr. Doganay is very selective in choosing patients for surgery. Dr. Doganay tailors his hair transplant procedure personally to each patient and is very skillful and passionate about creating natural looking hairlines and providing his patients with the very best results. Dr. Doganay’s experienced technicians carefully extract follicular units and store them in sterilized cabs in the refrigerator before placement. Dr. Doganay prefers to place grafts in the crucial hairline areas himself while he gets help from experienced technicians for the remaining ones and place the grafts together.

Dr. Doganay is very systematic and thorough in his surgical approach, he uses an extraction tool called a micromotor, with punches ranging from .7mm to .8mm in order minimize scarring to the donor area while harvesting the follicular units. In his hands, transection rates and damage to follicular units during extraction and placement are typically minimal.
