In many cases when a female patient presents to me they already have diffuse thinning everywhere including the donor region. For the most part we try in our practice to focus on increasing the core density in the hairline and frontal zone of our female patients. This at least allows them some other styling options for their hair, which most welcome with open arms. I think that the best overall answer though for this question is, successful results are going to be dependent on proper patient selection, and proper application of transplant technique.
